A big thanks to those who reported the other broken downloads, that will teach me to trust an automated script for checking these things.

Downloads fixed

All downloads should be functioning now, a side issue of the old download server being wiped is that the Update Check on the older software will not function correctly, new versions will be available shortly

As you can see you now have the choice of two front ends, the second modeled after the great program XCheatED.

Spring cleaning the FAQ section

I’m currently going over the FAQ section and updating it accordingly, the section about the Xport/Sharkport software and save icons has been updated to include info about the Icon Crippler patch and updated the nPort section which was getting a bit old

Things are a little quiet at the moment, I shall try to have a beta of the Save Text Editor ready for the beginning of next week (or sooner) and I’ll continue to make a new beta of Save Slicer to fix a few issues that became apparent after updates in the last beta

What is happening to Xport2XDrive….

Since only a few people have the X-Drive and the AR2v2/GS2v2 compress all X-Drive saves I will not be continuing work on this program.

However…
I will be using the skeleton of Xport2XDrive to create another program that allows you to edit the text of Xport/SharkPort saves as well as the text shown when you view a save in the PS2 Broswer.
Currently the beta name is Save Text Changer, although I am leaning towards Save Text Editor, anyhow if you feel that one is better than the other or have a new name suggestion I’m all ears

A beta and appropriate beta forum will be hopefully be available in a week or so

nPort Index generator

nPort is a free save transferring device, it’s major flaw is it relies on index files, if you add or remove saves the index file is no longer valid.

PS2 Save Tools is happy to announce that with the release of the nPort Index Generator this is no longer an issue
