New versions of console GTA San Andreas appear

Reading a few forums it appears that updated versions of GTA San Andreas for the PS2 and Xbox have arrived in the shops

GTA SA Censor Remover will not work these versions as they will not contain the hidden ‘Hot Coffee’ segments. Using GTA SA Censor Remover on your ‘2.0’ save may well result in corruption, please be aware of what version of GTA San Andreas you have before using this program.

PC GTA San Andreas made ‘Hot Coffee proof’

Rockstar have bowed to the venomous and unneeded pressure by US government officials and a shamefaced ratings board and have now issued a patch that makes the ‘Hot Coffee’ scenes unplayable.

Do not expect GTA: SA Censor Remover to work after installing this patch on the PC version of the game.

The PS2 and Xbox versions cannot be patched so easily and the unfinished content can still be accessed with GTA: SA Censor Remover. PC support still remains for those who have no desire to patch the PC version of the game with this Official game patch.

Rockstar, I feel for you. You were needlessly persecuted by people who do this for almost evil reasons (power corrupts and these people crave it so much and seek easy targets claiming it’s for a better good) and have had a game that isn’t suitable for children re-rated by a body who bowed to pressure from these people instead of standing firm by it’s guidelines.

To the parents who bought their children this game and are outraged by the Hot Coffee scenes, don’t blame Rockstar. You should be aware of what you are buying your child and should be aware of what they are playing on a regular basis since they can borrow games from friends.
Blaming a games company because you are an ineffective parent is nothing more than shameful.

GTA San Andreas is not a game for children.

There are many worse things in this world than Hot Coffee, being an inefficient parent or a sensationalizing scare mongering US official are two of these…

GTA SA Censor Remover: Now with German Xbox saves support

Now that Rik is back from his holiday and has tested GTA: SA Censor Remover v1.6 it’s good to go

Here are the changes:

  • Added support for German Xbox saves
  • Added user Age Agreement to program
  • Added invisible box fix and several clarifications to the help file
  • Improved Smart Save Type guessing

I also added a fix supplied by laura for the odd invisible box glitch that seems to happen after Millies special spanking game.

Please read the included help file, I spent several hours making sure it had all the info you needed to get started but still I get emails asking questions that are actually answered in the help file, not only are you wasting my time but your own.

As for what I have planned for v1.7, well if I can get it working it’ll help more than a few of you out there get started and will probably spawn a whole new application for cheating in GTA: San Andreas

PS2 and Xbox ‘post coffee’ box FIX!

Wow, what can I say, Biggie submitted this fix and it truely does work, so without further wait I’ll let Biggie explain how to escape the invisible box you are stuck in after Hot Coffee:

XBOX/PS2 ‘Post-Coffee Death Box No-Death Fix’
When you exit a girlfirends house after bonking CJ will get stuck in the so called ‘death box’. Here is an easy fix:

Find a vehicle near you (most of the girls have cars) by pressing ‘Y’ (triangle on the PS2). CJ will start to run, but he wont move. Once you know which car CJ is locking onto, end the running by holding back on the L-stick. Shoot the vehicle until it catches fire then hit ‘Y’ (triangle on the PS2) to get CJ running at it again. Once the car blows up, CJ is free again. Easy.

Works for me everytime,
Biggie.

I’ve tested this on the PS2 version and can confirm it 100% working, I’ll be adding this to the help file for the next release with full credit to Biggie

WIP: GTA: SA Censor Remover 1.6

I’m currently fine tuning GTA: SA Censor Remover 1.6 for release next week (I’m waiting on a friendly tester to return from holiday before releasing it), here’s the major changes

User Agreement:
Due to GTA: SA being reclassified as an Adults Only game (in line with the UK rating might I add) the first time you run version 1.6 you will be asked to confirm your age, if you are under 18 the program will exit.

German Xbox saves:
It seems the German saves use a different save folder and signature, these will be fully supported in 1.6

Force save type ‘guessing’
I’ve made 1.6 smarter in it’s guessing of valid GTA: SA saves it doesn’t recognise. Should you use a valid PC save that fails the header check and be presented with the Save Type Selection dialog then it should already have the PC option selected (PS2 and PC saves are harder to guess than Xbox saves)

Help file improvements:
Extra information will be present and little clarifications added such like; You can use Datels Xbox Max Drive saves as well as Xbox AR saves natively with GTA: SA Censor Remover.

Expect a release next week 🙂

GTA SA Censor Remover PC save fix

Although careful testing took place it seems that some PC GTA San Andreas saves failed GTA SA Censor Removers inbuilt header check even though they were valid saves.

I’ve improved the header checking to correct this and now added the ability to force the program to treat the save as a certain type when it finds a save that still fails the header check.
Please make sure you choose only the correct save type (GTA: SA Censor Remover v1.5 takes a guess for you but has trouble differentiating between PS2 and PC saves) as the saves do differ between the different systems (PS2, PC and Xbox)

PS2 NTSC/PAL save conversion guide

The question of how to change a save to PAL from NTSC and vice versa pops up quite often and it’s not quite as easy as it should so I’ve put together this FAQ to cover changing a save from one region to another using PS2 Save Builder.

You can do this with any save and in any format supported by PS2 Save Builder. The save you want to convert doesn’t even need to be in the format your save transfering device uses as long as PS2 Save Builder supports saving to the format you need.

New feature for GTA: SA Censor Remover

Hot on the heels of yesterdays release and spurred on by a request I saw at a popular Xbox message board I’ve added the ability to change the region of Xbox saves directly into GTA: SA Censor Remover 1.4

The readme was also becoming a huge mess of text so I spent a few minutes and created a help file for the program. Be sure to read it as it explains how to unlock the removed Hot Coffee scenes on every version of GTA San andreas and also details how to use the new Xbox save region changing feature.

I will also be adding a new FAQ shortly which will explain how to change the region of PS2 saves using PS2 Save Builder, which save will I be using to demonstrate this?
GTA San Andreas of course!
