GTA: SA Censor Remover becomes even more user friendly

Due to a few emails I’ve had recently regarding how to use GTA: SA Censor Remover I’ve updated the interface to include a menu which allows you to select which save to work on via regular dialog boxes making it even easier to unlock the removed Hot Coffee scenes.
You can still drop saves directly onto the program and all other functuality remains the same.

I have also made the log output more informative so there should be no confusion as to what is happening and what the status of the save you just loaded is.

An essential program for AR Max owners

I’ve been meaning to add this to the downloads for a long time now, MAX Codelist Manager allows you to remove all the codes you don’t use from the AR Max codelist update, freeing up a vast amount of space on your memory card.

You need the .NET runtime to use this program

Mulling over the future with some Hot Coffee

With the sudden interest in GTA and Hot Coffee (available on every version of the game if you use GTA: SA Censor Remover) we are getting more traffic than ever before as news spreads and people begin to realise that this controversial mod is available on the PS2 and Xbox as well as the PC.

So far the total donations received has not covered even two months of excess fees, fees that have been accumulating for several years now.

Now, I will not charge for downloads, I and the other authors who submit their work here did so for free, not for monetary gain but so that others can enjoy their work and it seems that thousands of you enjoy that work very much.

I considered closing this site because every month I reach down and pay the excess fees out of my own pocket so you guys can continue to enjoy the software found here for free, at that time I was tired of giving you a virtual free lunch when so few (think less than 5) have thought what we offer here is worth a dollar/pound/euro or two.

That’s right, we don’t expect you to download something then donate $100, instead $1 would have been enough to let us know you appreciate the work we do here and want to help keep this site up for as long as possible so we can continue to come up with innovations such as the exclusive GTA tools as well as other save manipulating software.

As for the site closing, I’m now hoping to avoid this as old friends have been in contact and solutions for 2006 are tentatively in place and with any luck the site should survive in an archive form if nothing more.

So, if you do like what you see here and have used or indeed regularly use something found here then consider donating just a dollar/pound/euro or two so that others can do the same and we can continue to offer unique innovations to you.

GTA: SA Censor Remover 1.2 released with PAL Xbox support

PAL Xbox owners can now enjoy the same ‘delights’ of coffee that everyone else has as GTA: SA Censor Remover 1.2 now has full support for these GTA: San Andreas saves.

Just use the program as normal (run it and then drop a save onto it), it will automaticly determine the GTA: SA save region behind the scenes, you don’t have to worry about a thing or press any extra buttons 🙂

PAL Xbox GTA San Andreas Owners get no Coffee…yet.

Several owners of the PAL Xbox version of GTA San Andreas have informed me that GTA Censor Remover is not working for them.

A fix is on the way and will be available shortly, until then be sure to keep a backup of your working save.

Fancy some ‘Coffee’ on your other gaming systems too?

Edit: Fixed the download link, my apologies to those that tried to download it before 🙂

I’ve been beavering away and rewritten all of GTA Censor Remover so it now supports not only PS2 saves but Xbox and PC saves too.
Now you can experience ‘Hot Coffee’ on any version of the game without needing to edit, resign or modify anything manually, simply patch your save using one simple to use application and you’re good to go 🙂

PS2 owners: Still no fix on getting stuck in an invisible box after the interactive scene however I am talking to PatrickW who released the original mod to see if there’s anything else in the save I can edit to perhaps fix this.

Suicide code for ‘after Coffee’ problems

Just in case anyone hasn’t been able to find this, enter this code whilst playing and it causes you to die, handy for escaping the box of doom after a ‘Hot Coffee’ incident 🙂

Right, L2, Down, R1, Left, Left, R1, L1, L2, L1

A final note, for those you who are pretty new to this, the older Sharkport/Xport is incompatable with GTA games, you must use an alternative device or make sure you are using one of the versions that does support this game (PS2 disc 2.23 or above, check the inner ring of the CD)

Stuck in a box after ‘Coffee’?

As several people ( thanks Jay) have commented it appears that after playing the removed interactive scenes in GTA: SA you re-appear stuck in an invisible box.

Unfortauntly this is a problem with playing removed and possibly unfinished sections of the game, so far the only way out is to kill yourself (satchel or grenade could be good choices here), DO NOT jump, you’ll be stuck and forced to reload your last save.

If a method of escaping this box that doesn’t involve dying is found I’ll be sure to post it here.

Don’t forget that GTA: Censor Remover can re-enable the censor (disabling the extra scenes) if you decide that you no longer wish to have access to this hidden functuality

GTA Censor Remover

I finally managed to track down my Max Drive disc and I’m happy to say that GTA: SA Censor Remover is good to go!

For those that haven’t realised, this program allows you to remove the censor in GTA: San Andreas and play the removed ‘Hot Coffee’ Interactive scene.

Be sure to pay attention to the instructions in the readme and whatever you do, do not use one of the homebrew solutions (execFTPs, nPort etc) to transfer your GTA saves, they are not compatable and will result in you being unable to load your save.

BETA testing time

I’ve made aquick app that allows you to *hopefully* experience the removed ‘Hot Coffee’ scene on GTA: San Andreas.

Please follow the instructions in the readme and make sure to backup your save BEFORE using this program on it 🙂

Be aware this is BETA software and therefore may not function as expected, PS2 Save Tools and the author will not be held liable for it’s use. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
